What is the lesson structure?

Each weekly 30-minute lesson is a full band rehearsal.

From the very first lesson, children are playing songs that they love by listening and playing. Children work through a unique curriculum of up to 300 musicianship, instrument and performance skills, which are logged by their band leader during lessons. They’re not only learning their own instrument, but they’re also learning how to listen, keep time and work as part of a team!

Lessons work towards the highlight of the term — the end of term concerts, where children perform the song they’ve learnt for family and friends. This is a great way for children to build confidence as they take to the stage and showcase everything they’ve learnt in front of a supportive audience – plus it’s a real proud moment for parents!
