How are your Rocksteady teachers trained?

Rocksteady band leaders are extensively trained to deliver Rocksteady’s unique curriculum which teaches children to play music together as a band - focusing on fundamentals such as timing and synchronisation, alongside introducing instrument technique and performance skills.

Following an in-depth recruitment process, band leaders then complete a combination of residential inductions, seeing other band leaders on the job, working hands-on with a training manager, and completing bespoke online courses. They also receive safeguarding training, and all are required to hold an enhanced DBS check. This ensures they are fully suitable for the role before they begin teaching.

Our band leaders receive ongoing training and development throughout their career with us, delivered by our dedicated academy team.
