Following their first term with Rocksteady, all children will start working towards ‘Music Performance in Bands’ - an exam-free, Ofqual-regulated music qualification accredited by Trinity College London. This is completely unique to Rocksteady!
Your child’s band leader simply tracks their progress and developing skills during normal lessons and performances. When they’ve built up enough skills, the qualification is awarded. You will automatically receive an email from Trinity College London with your child’s digital certificate.
There are four levels for children to work through - Pre-initial, Initial, Grade 1 and Grade 2 - so there’s always more your child can achieve!
It’s a great way to achieve an official qualification whilst still at primary school in a way that feels fun and supportive.
