What is the qualification – Music Performance in Bands?

Rocksteady’s Music Performance in bands qualification is an exam-free, Ofqual regulated music qualification, accredited by Trinity College London, available for all children who attend Rocksteady band lessons. This unique and innovative qualification works differently to traditional graded music exams. 

It allows children to take part in their Rocksteady lessons exactly as they have done before, while working towards an official music qualification, without any need for exams or testing. Your child’s band leader will follow their progress within regular band lessons and performances, and we will let you know when they have built up enough skills to be awarded the qualification.
