How do you track student progress?

Your child’s band leader tracks progress during weekly band lessons and concerts. Children can learn up to 300 instrument, performance and musicianship skills across Rocksteady’s unique curriculum.  

When your child demonstrates a new skill in a lesson or concert, their band leader adds this as a skill they have learned. This means there’s no pressure or feeling of being monitored.  

These skills also feed into Rocksteady’s exam-free music qualification, which is accredited by Trinity College London and regulated by Ofqual. Once your child has built up enough skills, you will automatically receive an email from Trinity College London with their ‘Music Performance in Bands’ qualification. There are four levels to this qualification, so there’s always more they can achieve!
