We’re really sorry you weren’t made aware of this. This is most likely because the bands at your child’s junior school are pre-existing and there isn’t a suitable place available at the moment. Places are allocated based on availability of matching instrument preference and the age group of each band.
If your child is on the waiting list, we’ll contact you as soon as a suitable place becomes available.
If they’re interested in possibly trying out a different instrument, this could improve their chances of joining a band sooner. You can select multiple instruments they’d be willing to play through your Backstage account. Here's how to do this:
• In your Backstage, go to your child’s name and select “Make Changes” and then click “Change Instrument or Band”.
• Update your instrument preferences.
• Save your updates.
The wellbeing benefits of learning with Rocksteady - improved confidence, communication and teamwork - are the same regardless of which instrument your child plays. And most importantly, they’re all great fun!
